Weight Classes

156 to 170lbs |

All weight classes are subject to a 5lbs allowance
above the allotted weight limit. Fighters are also permitted to
select a weight class that is not mentioned above. For example if
two fighters choose to fight at a weight of 160 to 165lbs this is
permitted as long as both sides agree to this weight.
Fighters will be weighing in on the same day as the event so it
is encouraged that fighters compete at their natural weight.
Rounds
Each bout will consist of 3 rounds of 2 minutes with a 1 minute
rest between rounds as per La Fédération Québécoise
de Boxe Mixte Amateur.
Equipment and Fighter Wear
Mouth guard
Open Finger 12oz boxing Glove (Provided by The Commission)
Groin Protection (Male and Female)
Shin and Instep Pads (Toes can be exposed)
Board Shorts or skin shorts with no zippers or exposed draw strings
Rash guard (Women only)

Closed hand strikes to the head and body
Kicks to the head and body and legs (above the knee)

Elbow and forearm strikes, Knee Strikes, Foot stomps, Finger locks, Spinning back fist strike,
Striking the groin, Strikes to the back of the head, Strikes to the spine, Throwing your opponent onto the head or neck,
Throwing against a joint, Throwing your opponent out of the ring, Neck cranks, Slamming your opponent onto the head or neck,
Holding the ropes, Pinching, biting, fish hooking, gouging, any dirty fighting
Illegal Techniques
while on the Ground
Elbow, hammer and forearm strikes, Knee Strikes, Stomping kicks to the body, Neck cranks,
Heel hooks, Finger locks, Toe locks, Spine locks, Strikes to the spine, Striking the groin, Fish hooks,
Slamming, Choking with the hand on the throat, Smothering (hand over the mouth),
Pinching, biting, gouging, any dirty fighting
Additional Items
If a fighter is knocked down and appears to be hurt or not able
to defend themselves the referee will stop the fight. No standing
8 counts. If a fighter turns his or her back from their opponent
to shield themselves from strikes, the referee will stop the fight.
A fighter must always be in control. The referee has the authority
to stop the fight at any time he or she feels that a fighter is
in danger or risks being severally injured.
The use of Vaseline is permitted to the face only but must be applied
by the referee and at ringside only.
